The ministry was founded in 2001 and registered in the government of Kenya. The ministry started with two churches but now we have 42 churches in Kenya we have 24 churches and 18 churches in Uganda. We dont have any sponsor in our ministry.

 

I was given the gift of healing thats why the ministry is running.I have been able to build only one church semi permanent but all other churches are in rental buildings. I have orphans and widows in my ministry. I have just a place that I live with them. We live a hard life but I thank God because I have been united with you. I trust that I have a new begining that the Lord is going to start. We dont have a headquater in this ministry but I am praying that if God opens ways, I will buy land here in Kitale and build the headquater. That is also where I will build the project of helping the orphans and widows and that is where I will plant food to feed the orphans and widows.

NAME, SEAL, TERRITORY AND NATURE
1:1 The name of the Ministry is MOUNT ELGON BIBLE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY
1:2 The seal of the ministry shall be: A MOUNTAIN AND OPEN BIBLE
1:3 Territory: The ministry is an indigenous, non-profoit mission organization, whose registered Head Office and Headquaters shall be based in Kitale, Trans Nzoia, Kenya but whose activities may be carried out in any part of the world.
1:4 Nature: This is a non-profit spiritual Ministry based upon the word og God as the only Divine Authority.

 

AIM

 

My aim of starting this ministry Mt ELGON BIBLE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY is

After seeing people's problems in Africa, I decided to start this ministry.

My aim to open is to support and walk to destroy the work of Satan people to see the hand of God and to win souls, to help orphans, to help widows, to help people who are suffering with AIDS, to help cripples deaf, to help blind people, to help old disabled people, for all I have the orphans whom am helping and also I have widows in my ministry whom am helping this is my prayer and my view if God will remember me I will help those in need I am praying to God to open the way this is my aim to start the ministry.

 

MY VISION AND MY PRAYER TO THIS MINISTRY

1. The first thing I want to build a headquater of the ministry a place where all the offices will be there and my office too.

2. I want all my pastors, God to open the way, every pastor to have capital. And I also want to build all my churches.

3. I would also like the orphans I am staying with, to have a big farm and I also build for them. We should also have computers, training center where the children will be training and a place where we can build a school where the children will be going instead of going to Government schools. I would also like to build a hospital. The children will also learn agriculture and Mechanics. After studying, I would like the children to have knowledge and work for the project. It will be a good foundation because the children wont lack jobs e.t.c. This is my vision and prayer for the orphans in this ministry.

4. For the widows in the ministry, I would like them to have a good life. Because most of them have children, I would like the ministry to educate them. I would also like each widow to have capital. I would also like to build for them a place at the Headquaters for them to stay. This is my view and prayer about these widows.

5. I would like Evangelists and Pastors in the ministry to have motorbikes and bicycles to enable them spread the Gospel in the whole of Africa. And also their families to be taken care of by the ministry. This is my view and prayer about my Pastors and Evangelists.

6. I would like the ministry as a whole to get teachings and enough materials. The ministry should have vehicles to make transportation easier. This is my prayer.

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE MINISTRY

3:1 To win souls,train and send out for a great harvest. (Acts 13:1-5)

3:2 To reach the world with Gospel before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

3;3 To train Christian Ministers, teachers, organizers, councillors, missionaries and community workers through seminars, conferences and schools of Ministry, vocational schools and colleges.

 

3:4 To encourage ministers and provide material support to pastors, churches, the poor, the suffering and the oppressed, and the poor region of Africa and other parts of the world.

 

3:5 To plant churches and conduct church programs in places where there is need, and to promote and pursue the unity renewal and mission of the mission.

 

3:6 To support and maintain missions, missionaries and ministers of the gospel.

 

3:7 To establish fund-generated, self support and community projects for the poor, and for the promotion of the objectives and activities of the Ministry. (Acts 6:32)

 

OUR MISSION

"Our mission is to teach and preach the true word of God with liberty in Christ for the salvation of souls and the growing of knowledge and grace in our God to those of like faith. Searching the scriptures and having works that may exalt Christ and glorify God our father".

 

THE STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in one God, The Father, The Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth.

 

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, our saviour, the word made flesh conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death, and was buried. On the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He will come again in power and Glory to judge the living and the dead.

 

We believe in the Holy Spirit that proceeds from God the Father, our teacher, guide and comforter.

 

We believe in the church as the Body of Christ, made up of believers and followers in the forgiveness of sin for fallen mankind, in the Baptism of water and spirit, and in the resurrection of the body at the last day.

 

We believe that by faith alone in Christ, the only way to God the Father, founded on the word alone, we have life everlasting. .

 

TEN GOALS

Mount Elgon Bible Christian Ministry was established to teach and preach the word of God to establish believers on answers for the faith and hope that is within us. We will display his love and character to our community by:

 

OUR DOCTRINE

WE BELIEVE

1. In one true God. Who created the heaven, the earth, the sea and the whole universe. (Gen 1:1-3)

2. In the Trinity of God, God the Father, God the son, and God the Holyspirit.(1John 5:7)

3. In the serving of the Lords table in the Holy communion. (1 Corithians 11:23-34)

4. That by the disobedience of the First man, Adam. Sin and death was passed to all men. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 3:23,5:12, 1 Corithians 15:21)

5. That Holy Matrimony is the wedding of the benefit of keeping the integrity of the church (Hebrews 13:4)

6. In the Virgin Birth, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and his second coming. (Mathew 1:22-23,2:1-2, Luke23:47,John 19:30, Mark 16:6)

7. In the water Baptism of Immersion and Baptism of the Holy Spirit and also speaking in other tongues according to scripture.(Acts 2:4, John 3:5)

 

The Bereans were more noble that those in Thessalonica in that they recieved the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so. Acts 17:11

Go you into the world and preach the gospel to every creature Mark 16:15 supporting the fatherless and widows their helpless need at home and abroad sharing the Good news and giving to others our bounty. Having an atmospher founded God's word that allows each believer to grow and expand his or her calling under the guidance of the Holy Spirit not the tradition of laws of man this fulfilling the completed work and glorifying of Christ's Kingdom.

HISTORY

I Apostle Abraham Wafula is a brother who has cojme across so many problems and at the same time born in a very poor family. I was born in Trans-Nzoia in Kitale. During my childhood I used to graze people's animals to earn my living. After this, I later became a house boy and the little I could get I used to pay for my fees and this was only done during the school holidays. During that course God blessed me with another work in the bakery  and this gave me more effort to my completion of my education.

 

After all these problems, the did not end my way, but the worst one was me getting sick. Now this broke my way of serving. I continue being sick for a very long period this was more than three years. Adnd by doing so I still went for treatement but no way out. I sat down one time and started focusing on who to help me. But during that focusing, something just passed in my mind that it is only God because He is my creator and the creator of everything. Surely, I sticked on that point and it came to pass and I found myself getting healed actually from that moment I only saw the power of the Lord in me. And I felt it better also to pray for others and also serve the Lord in all ways, and means that I could. From there I got also a vision that I should start a ministry to support many others who also got a vision that I should start a ministry to support many others who are in need. I thank this God because He has given me power to heal.
