I am Apostle Muttama Abraham married to Apostle Martha Namasake. I was saved in the year 1990 and the lord has been walking with me all these years. I thank God with all my sincere and deep from my heart. He has worked with me and patiently waited for me to mature in His word. Through mountains and valleys, He has shown me that He is the Alfa and Omega the one who founded and established the foundation of the earth. He has revealed to me that He loves His people more than anything else.

I am the founder of Evangelic church Mission of Kenya. A ministry with a vision of serving God at His high most. When I reflect back, life hasn’t been easy for my life. There was a conflict in my family starting from the age of five years. The life was very hard on my side, it went on for around ten years. This hard situation and tough life made me to find myself on the streets of Kitale town. Little did I know that the Lord my father was preparing me for a ministry.

On the street, I was there for four years in the mid of 1980s. There came a good Samaritan but a non Christian and advised me to go back home. But the situation was more worse , but because of school milk, I went to school to waste time. Without a purpose in my life, I stayed in one class for about five years and in the other I stayed for three years. As if God was not through with me, I fell sick in the year 1989 where my head could ache as if the jiko was on my head. After one year that is 1990, 3 July, one of the pastors by the name Alfred Impala who is dead came to my room and prayed together with me and I received Christ as my personal savior.

My neck was stiff that, I wanted only to be a member of the church without any responsibility but God raised me to the secretary of the church. From there God opened my head and I could get something in class because the bible says and my people will be heads but not tails. I passed my K.C.P.E and joined the provincial school , because now God had brought me to my father, He agreed me as his child and therefore he could cheep in for my education.

At school, I asked God what was His purpose for my life but I had not understood God’s way because I had not sat down for biblical teachings, God was patient to my life.

A revelation came to me after I had completed my K.C.S.E and I asked God what I could do for Him but I had a condition that I pursue higher education by them I was the secretary of the church for the youth. Given that my family was financially low ,I engaged in brick making to earn a living.

God was very merciful to me and led me in the reading of my bible and I realized the following:-

“The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me. Tell people the good news about God’s grace; I was very comfortable when I read.” Jesus has the power to God by which He has given us everything we need to serve God .we have these things because we know Him.”

After the results of K.C.S.E it was realized that I had secured a chance to get higher education institution in Kenya. This was a challenge to me and I humbled wholly to God after I read 2 Chronicles 20:20.

“if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves , then I will hear their prayers from heaven and I will heal their land.” I was able to ask God for this purpose for my life and I had a revelation  to help at least 10 people. When I completed my studies from the University of Nairobi, I joined one school to teach for free for about one month without pay which I did with the help of God as a way of appreciating Him having brought me to that end.

I thank God because He has walked with me all through without source of finance I was able to help more than ten people to gain their academic to their level of expectation. My prayer at this level was from Moses’ request that , “Lord if you do not go with us, do not let us out of this place.”

After that, I had a feeling that God wants me to pursue other things ,therefore I resigned from where I was teaching and sought God’s presence. Because of daily life, I ended up to be a boda boda rider in Kitale for around three months and I had a revelation that  , that  was not what God wanted me to do. After prayer and consultation from God, I put my bicycle in the bust and I landed in Kakuma . This is the place where I saw God because it was a foreign place I had never been there but God made me to ride my bicycle for three months and a half and I got money to maintain my family.

I was faithful to God and therefore, He opened a way for me to go for the interview for teaching in Sudan. He provided for me a job. I dedicated my effort to our brothers in Sudan and because now I was humbled to the ground by life , I realized that God had prepared me enough for the duties I was running away which was to testify  to the people of the good news. Romans 12:1-12. Therefore offer yourself as a living sacrifice………. And that is what I have done which gave birth to Evangelic Church Mission in Kenya.

In Sudan, I am a missionary and at the same time I teach. Sudan is a place, which needs more of the missionaries with a heart to help others to get the good news.

My desire is to serve the Lord with all my strength , energy and wealth to bring the people to the light of God. Having such a background of my kind I thank God that He has revealed to me the secrets of life. Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s Grace.”

Evangelic Church Mission (E.C.M) Kenya

Vision

To bring people to the wisdom and knowledge of God. To understand the purpose of God and His plan for the restoration of human beings to the eternal life.

Mission

Teach people the word of God through active participation and vision development for a better life while till on earth.

Objectives

Among the many objective

  1. Make discipline of Christ through witnessing
  2. Teach people the way of the cross and its consequences.
  3. To equip the member spiritually, physically and mentally for the glory and honour of God.

As a church we believe in the crusification of Jesus and God as a sole Creator of the world. Having that faith, we came to unite with IGEM as a way strengthening unity of Christ, it is a multi- national body that is working , equipping ministers and ministries. We thank God for the vision that IGEM had because since our coming together , we have realized many changes in our ministry both in Kenya and Sudan.

The vision of the church is to equip the youth hence we have a school for form one and two, we have a computer centre and a driving school. However there are some challenges that we are facing, as I said earlier. I am a sole provider of the school, starting from school uniforms and paying of teachers and other materials. In the driving school we need a car to practice driving.

My ultimate prayer to God is to see the fourth form join KTTC that we would have build by God’s provision. All is good to God and for God because Isaiah 28:16.

“so this is what the sovereign Lord says. See I lay a stone in Zion a tested stone a precious cornerstone for sure foundation that one who trusts will never be dismayed” may God bless you all.

We are having the children in Sudan Narus learning under the trees and our church is just under the tree and we are believing God to build  some three classrooms and the church to receive missionaries from other places of the world.  This calls for all who are called by His name t6o join us in spreading the word to Sudan. All are welcome so that I can share with them the experience life in Sudan,  please write to me on the given address for donation and consultation  about life and children of God.
